The images you see are displaying a full broadcast flake system. A full broadcast (full flake) is when the flakes are broadcasted until rejection. Where you don't see any of the colored epoxy underneath. You can broadcast our flakes as much or as little as you want. If you like the look and if your budget allows, a full flake adds an entire protective layer which results in one of the most durable resinous flooring systems that you can buy. Only quartz has a higher durability rating.
